I am nominating Cynthia Hoover for the DIASY award because I have worked with her many times in the MICU. I have watched how she cares for her patients. I want to reflect on one situation. One of her patients was on a ventilator. He was not doing good. His oxygen level was dropping, and he was having trouble breathing. Cindy, did not panic, even though emotions were high with others in room. She took charge of the situation. She knew exactly what to do. Shedirected the staff that was assisting her.
She makes a difference in the lives of everyone she encounters. Her smile lights up the room. I am proud to work with Cindy. She is one of a kind!
