Our story begins with my mom's arrival at the ER. At that time, she was unable to catch her breath and struggling. She was quickly stabilized and admitted to the hospital and transferred to her room at shift change. Dallet was the day shift nurse assigned to my mom during the admission and she quickly became our guardian angel! As with the case when multiple specialties are involved in care, messages sometimes get confused. Dallet was quick to explain the conflicting messages and advocate for my mom to ensure all instructions and goals were clearly understood by all.

Dallet went above and beyond with her compassion for my mom! She is very hard of hearing and Dallet made sure to speak as close to her ear as possible to patiently explain everything. With her kindness and patience, she was able to calm her fears and make my mom smile. She worked tirelessly to make my mom comfortable when she was in pain from an old shoulder injury. She was the encouragement my mom needed to tackle the spirometer to increase her lung function. Thank you, Dallet, for being such a competent, caring, and compassionate nurse. In this chaotic world, it is refreshing to encounter someone who is dedicated to making a difference.
