Dana Hallman, BSN, RN

My 91-year-old father was admitted after an aspiration at the nursing home he was residing. This was obviously a scary situation. Dana was amazing. Sometimes I hesitated to bother the nurses for updates and explanations but Dana was so compassionate and explained all the medical aspects clearly for me to understand. She would even call me at work and also spoke to my brother who lives out of town with updates. My father enjoyed her so much that he called her sweetheart. I was thrilled to see her with him again on the 10th floor. When she saw me she remembered my name and said she was just going to call me. Dana was also patient and caring and took the time to listen to my dad’s stories. Her professionalism and compassionate nature assured me that he was in good hands. Dana is truly a blessing.
