One Saturday night at our hospital, a patient came into the Emergency Department with an ectopic pregnancy. At the time, Dana was not on duty, but Dana was identified as one of the nurses with the competency to administer the needed medication for our patient. Dana is very dedicated and came to the hospital on her night off to assist with this special patient need. She provided emotional support to the patient and family and stayed to provide education on special precautions of the medication. In addition, she stayed on her night off to provide education on this drug for the nurses on duty. Dana is a valued member of our team; our staff feel lucky to have her on staff. This is just one example on ways Dana goes above and beyond to assist our patients in need. Thank you Dana!
