October 2023 Honoree
Danielle Arrieux, BSN, RN
My “mother dear” was a patient in ED with dislocation of hip. This happened in the early hours. My mother arrived at SSMC ED by ambulance, accompanied by me. The injury appeared severe, causing considerable pain and discomfort to my mother. Caregiver RN Danielle was the primary nurse assigned to my mother. Danielle displayed great skills and knowledge required to look after my mother. In addition, I was impressed by the empathy and compassion Danielle showed while attending to my mother's needs. Danielle was with my mother during the entire length of her stay in the ED (almost 4 hours) until admission to the surgical floor. Danielle managed to provide a sense of safety and being in good hands not only to my mother but also to myself. A sincere thank you to Danielle for providing exceptional care to my mother during this difficult period.
Thank you, Danielle, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
