Dani is the best nurse in the state! Dani was my nurse for 2 of the nights I spent here at Banner. She made each night less stressful. There were times I even felt as though I wasn't stuck in a hospital bed. I felt more like she was just a new friend of ours and we were just interacting as good friends would.
One of the most stressful parts of my hospital visit was the pain I was experiencing. Dani happened to walk into my room when I was crying in pain because I didn't have the last dose of my medication. At the 5- hour mark I still didn't have my pain meds. The pain was becoming unbearable. Dani walked into my room to start her shift, saw me in pain, and stopped what she was doing to go get me pain medicine. From that point on, she always brought my pain medicine at that 4-hour mark, so the pain wouldn't get out of control again. She did that on both nights she took care of me. She truly cared about my pain and wanted to help manage the horrible pain I was in.
Dani also asked my husband and me about our family back in Yuma. Just a friend who truly cared to ask. On my last night in here, Dani was scheduled to be a 'floater'. We were bummed to not have her. The next morning, she still came to see how we were doing, still showing how much she cared. That truly put a smile on my face and my husband's. I've been in and out of 2 hospitals over the past month. She is the most extraordinary nurse in 2 cities and 2 hospitals.
