My 84-year-old father required IV for dehydration in the ER. He isn’t accustomed to a medical environment & I had forgotten his hearing aids. The situation can be quite intimidating for an elderly gentleman. Darlene comforted him, consciously spoke loud & clear, diligently closed the curtains, & assured him everything would be OK.

Her thoughtfulness in discharging my father to his home was to give me permission to call the physician on call & potentially bring him back for hospitalization. Children, as caregivers, always try to be strong & manage everything. Her parting words helped me make the correct decision in returning him to the ER later that night.

She was also thoughtful enough to let me know they serve a complimentary meal to a guest of a patient. For someone who was staying with their father for the day during consultations, and sleep-deprived, this was nourishing & made me feel cared for too!

Her demeanor, kindness, & thoughtfulness made me feel like an essential part of my father’s care plan. Well done!

All of the staff – from receptionist/registration to LPNs to RNs have treated us with professionalism, sincerity, kindness, & helpfulness. I wish all hospitals could demonstrate ‘the public relations’ shown by this hospital. All of you are amazing!
