The Endoscopy Unit Director received an email signed by several ICU nurses extending a huge, warm thank-you to one of Endoscopy's RNs. They stated that on the previous Saturday night, the ICU had several very critical patients with 1:1 acuity and only three ICU RNs on the floor with one tele float. There were three Endoscopy procedures from 0000-0700, including a Blakemore insertion. The email went on to say at one point they were strapped for staff to recover one of the Endoscopy patients. With a smile on her face, this wonderful nurse stayed to recover this patient. This was such a huge gesture on a busy night, and these ICU RNs wanted to make sure Dawn Donacki-April got recognition for being a fantastic team player!
