I had just found out that day that my cancer is much more severe than what I had thought. I was very depressed and scared. Dawn was an angel sent to me because she held my hand and told me about new advances in cancer research. She lifted me out of my depressed state and gave me hope and encouragement. Over the course of her 12 hr shift, I found myself slipping back into a frightened state of mind. Each time she encouraged me and brightened my hope with her constant cheerful and positive attitude. She also was very busy with other patients, but still seemed to take care of my medical needs with professionalism. She took time to answer my questions.
