I have worked with Dawn Luddy over the past year and have watched her provide exceptional patient care. Dawn is an experienced visiting nurse that provides excellent patient care in the home. It is not uncommon for patients to compliment Dawn on both her nursing skills and warm personality.

I have witnessed Dawn interact with patients firsthand in the home and it is easy to see the impact she has on their lives. I recently provided a supervisory visit with Dawn and witnessed a patient that went from very poor health post-COVID back to her baseline and stated it was because of the superb care Dawn provided. While Dawn was on the phone with a doctor requesting an order to make one of her other patients more comfortable, I had the opportunity to listen to her patient’s description of her. “Dawn has been my nurse for quite some time. Her laugh is so bubbly it's contagious. I know she is my nurse, but I consider her my friend. Every time she came into my home she worked diligently with the doctor to make me feel more comfortable. She took her time with my visit no matter how much time I needed. I thank her for all of the work she does and give her credit for me getting better every day.”

Dawn has recently accepted a position as Trinity’s new palliative nurse. She has managed both positions effectively, never sacrificing the quality of her work. It takes a special person with an extraordinary spirit to provide care in the home. Dawn is this type of person. She consistently excels on every level and without complaints. She provides excellent patient care, works well with her team, and is able to multi-task effectively and efficiently. Her patients’ needs always come first. Dawn is admired and respected within the nursing industry. She is a valued member in health care and has made a difference in the many lives she’s touched.
