Dawn works with the Urology team at Fair Oaks. She is held in high regard by her peers and physician partners. They will readily say that for Dawn, "nursing is her passion and profession, it is not just a job."
With more than 20 years of clinical nursing experience, Dawn shows time and time again that she is a valued, reliable resource. She is often called upon to orient newly hired nurses and then to serve as a mentor. She promotes leadership, teamwork, and most of all, inclusion of staff, colleagues, and peers. She encourages ideas and team participation in efforts like the Greeter Program she helped launch and hand hygiene awareness efforts she led for providers and staff.
Dawn was also instrumental in setting up patient teaching for self-care.
Dawn demonstrates leadership through words, actions, and a positive approach. She is there for members during healthy moments, and she is just as reassuring when they are at their most vulnerable. Dawn knows how to offer a gentle touch, a kind word, or even a moment of silence.
As a nurse, Dawn blends professionalism, experience, and compassion to deliver for our members and her colleagues every day.
