My patient has pulmonary HTN due to CREST syndrome treated with a very expensive non-formulary medication. The patient came from a nursing home and did not have the medication with him. The patient reported that he has no one to bring the medication to the hospital. Rather than having her patient miss any further doses of medication, Debra arranged through physician's order to personally pick up the patient's medication for him at the local CVS as he has no family.
Her dedication and performance above and beyond the call of duty are appreciated by me, as a provider, and the patient. I am always proud to be a part of her team!
