I would like to start off by stating how wonderful of a nurse and person Mrs. Denise is! She is always in such a calm and happy mood. I felt the need to nominate her today for the DAISY Award to simply say "Thank You!" I don't normally work with her, but when I do, she always goes over and beyond to work with us (CTC nurses) as a team; specifically, on the weekends. On this day in particular there were discharge orders everywhere, and as you know there are only two discharge nurses in house on Saturdays. We were completely swamped and had the hardest time getting to 5E to help with theirs. Not once did Mrs. Denise makes it hard on us or make us feel as though we were not doing our jobs efficiently enough. She simply started on the discharges. We eventually made it to the floor ready to hit it; seeing as there were 12 discharges on the list at that time! Sweet Mrs. Denise calmly stated, "Don't worry about it, ladies. There are only two remaining."

All I could do at that time was say thank you, but thinking about it now it wasn't enough. That's why I think she is so deserving of a DAISY because she always goes over and beyond to ensure that the patients are taken care of. Thank you, thank you!!
