Diana would drop what she was doing to take care of me. She was awesome and caring! I work here in the hospital but months ago I was a patient. My experience is one I will never forget. It's due to the fact that the nurses and PCA's care for me were truly amazing. Diana was absolutely amazing. I have never been admitted to a hospital before. Here I came in with sepsis pneumonia. I was scared and panicky. Diana was taking my vitals, and everything was high, and I started to cry. I felt alone and wanted my family at that time. Writing this I am teary remembering.
Diana took my hand, rubbing it, reassuringly, looking straight into my eyes and said, "You will be fine, you're in the right place, we will take care of you." She stood for a few minutes until I calmed down. Her voice and touch were so comforting. I believed her. Even if I was not going to be okay (which I was) she helped me to believe and that meant so much to me. I tell my family and friends about her and my experience. Now that I am back at work I try to be as caring as Diana was, knowing that I was once in a patient position. Thank you, Diana, for helping me through "my mountain" at the time. With all my heart, thank you!
