Diane (DD) has been an RN at UWMC for over 30 yrs. During her time with the Bone & Joint Clinic, she has served as an RN3 and now an RN2 supporting Hip/Knee, Spine and Hand service. DD also backs-up other services when her peers are out.
She is very thorough with her Pre-operative teaching by closely reviewing with patients the content of the packet they will be taking home that will prepare them for the success of their elective procedure. DD's care to patients is commendable.
She is consistent, fair, and does whatever she has to do to meet/exceed patients' expectations. Her triaging and documentation skills in EpicCare are superb. DD enjoys teaching and on-boarding RNs and enjoys speaking to/encouraging MAs who would like to pursue a career in Nursing. She consistently goes beyond the call of duty showing that she truly cares about patients and meeting/exceeding their needs.
DD works well with her colleagues and the Clinic Pharmacists. She's definitely a pillar at our clinic. DD is an excellent troubleshooter and comes up to either our RN3 or Clinic Manager with process improvement opportunities. DD is consistent with her work, always comes to work on time, and is very efficient with her duties as an RN.
