I have had my colostomy bag for 13 years, and she has shown me new or improved items or techniques regarding maintenance and care that I was currently practicing.
I’m 55 years old, and I’m currently at Methodist Dallas Hospital for 18 days. As you can guess, being in the hospital for that period of time does become very stressful. I have been blessed to be given a caring nurse like Dinar. She always has a very pleasant smile and never makes you feel as if she is in a hurry. Under her care, I never felt like I was being neglected or treated like I was second to anyone. If I ever needed additional medication, she was a great advocate when it came to requesting additional medications or resources from my doctor. She was always able to make an excellent case for me and champion my request. I’m not sure just how long she’s been a nurse, but she exudes this confidence, and her knowledge of caregiving leads me to believe that she has been a nurse since birth. I also have a colostomy bag, and she has always been very proactive in getting me all of the supplies necessary to maintain it. She has definitely done her homework because I have had my colostomy bag for 13 years, and she has shown me new or improved items or techniques regarding maintenance and care that I was currently practicing. I am very impressed that she has that type of knowledge regarding ostomy care. I know we have never met before, but I pray that the good Lord gives me the ability to show my sincerity and the truth I speak of this nurse. Please consider her for this; she is one of the most genuine people I have ever met in my life. I am indebted to her for her care and support that she has given me. I feel she is very deserving and very humble and I thank you for your consideration.
