Donna Lentner, RN

We received a call about a patient en route to the hospital about to have her baby. Donna, without being asked, immediately leaped into action. We had a recent power outage, and she made sure the elevators were working. She was the first person to be at the car door for the patient. Immediately after delivery, she started caring for the infant by drying, stimulating and suctioning him. Once the infant and mother had been safely taken up to L&D for evaluation, she stayed back with the father and their other child to make sure they were okay. She then came back up to L&D to be with the patient and keep her calm. Donna maintained a sense of calm during this chaotic delivery that greatly helped the patient and her spouse. She has an exceptional bedside manner and made the patient feel at ease during a very stressful time. The patient and her family, as well as the entire team, were lucky to have her!
