You will always hold a special place in our hearts; we cannot thank you enough, you touched our lives forever.
Working in labor and delivery is thought by most people to be a fun place to work and life is brought into the world, which it is but when things go as planned or hoped for it is very hard and draining emotionally. This message came from a patient who came to the hospital thinking she was in labor (which she was) however the baby was no longer alive inside of her; she delivered her baby girl. Letter from the patient:

We have spoken to so many of our friends/ family over the last week about how grateful we were to have been put in your care that day. Last Wednesday was the absolute worst day of our lives but the way in which you care for both of us and our sweet baby girl, made such a horrible tragedy feel as peaceful as it could've been. We will never be able to truly express how much it meant that you helped us make such unexpected, hard decisions and the compassionate way in which you treated us. You will always hold a special place in our hearts; we cannot thank you enough, you touched our lives forever.

Donna said, "Just when you think you can't physically, emotionally, mentally do this job anymore, God puts you in a situation like that, and it makes you realize that maybe there is a reason why you need to keep showing up. Just seems so unfair for them though. I struggle with why this seems to always happen to the nicest couples. I think they have a good support system so God willing, they will okay."
