My son had ENT surgery and his recovery nurse was Donney. My son told me that all he remembers upon waking up from his surgery was someone calling out his name and he realized it was nurse Donney. He said the guy was so friendly and made him feel so relaxed and comfortable. He made general conversation with him and made him feel like the older child that he is. When Donney called the phone in the waiting room and talked to me, I immediately felt a wonderful nurse/patient connection. Upon arriving in our room and meeting Donney, he displayed a genuine concern for my son's recovery and our comfort as well. I was just overwhelmed by his hospitality. We did not anticipate spending the night, but this was our first stay at the new children's hospital and we were treated like royalty. We will never forget him.
