When I woke, she was so compassionate. Dori went out of her way to control my pain as well as the bleeding.
I want to share my recent experiences at your hospital for a scheduled OP surgery. Everything from pre-anesthesia, COVID19 test, arrived yesterday for surgery, while in Pre-Op holding, and in PACU. Although I wish I could provide all of the names of everyone I met, there is one nurse who stood out for me the most.
I was in extreme pain when I arrived there. The preop nurse, CRNA, and the female Anesthesiologist were so helpful and worked hard to ease my pain (and very high BP). But it’s when I woke up in PACU the nurse (Dori) was right there with me. I was in PACU for almost 4 hours (I think).
When I woke, she was so compassionate. Dori went out of her way to control my pain as well as the bleeding. I was in a fetal position claiming a level 20 pain. However, Dori worked with my doctor, and she updated my family regularly. I was in a fetal position with no relief. But she found the right pain medication and I was finally pain-free and ready to go home. She was patient, caring, and you could tell she loves her job. She was simply my hero. I could continue with so many more accolades.
I've decided I want to come to Women's for all of my upcoming surgeries (shoulder, foot, etc.) I realize that's not possible, but that’s how I felt after my 16 hour day of excruciating pain. I know that she treats all of her patients that way. You can tell she loved helping me. The true definition (my opinion) of a DAISY recipient. Thank you for hiring her!
