He showed empathy and kindness towards us as we were experiencing my grandfather’s decline and death and my grandmother being very ill.
Both of my grandparents were admitted to Helen Keller Hospital this past week. My grandfather on Monday and my grandmother on Wednesday. Thursday my grandfather was put on palliative care and they moved him across the hall from my grandmother. Dustin went above and beyond to make them both comfortable. He made it possible for my grandmother to visit with my grandfather. Dustin was so kind to our family and accommodating to everyone’s needs. After checking on my grandparents, he would always ask if there was anything we needed. I saw him take care of the patients in the other rooms with just as much care. I thank God for nurses like Dustin Wade.

Dustin was extremely compassionate and thoughtful during my grandfather’s care and his eventual passing in the hospital. Dustin was also my grandmother's nurse as she was across the hall from my grandfather. Dustin set the bar for nursing and care for my family. He showed empathy and kindness towards us as we were experiencing my grandfather’s decline and death and my grandmother being very ill. I am so appreciative of him and will be forever grateful.

I am an RN myself, and I know how patients should be treated. Dustin made me proud. Dustin exemplifies the nursing profession in an EXCELLENT way. He went above and beyond to provide the absolute best care for my dad. I could not have asked for a better nurse. He was professional, kind, compassionate, and always eager to help. Always smiling and positive. I prayed specifically that he would be our nurse on day 2 and he was, I thanked God. Dustin is heaven-sent. HKH is incredibly lucky to have him on board. He put me at ease even though I knew all the drills of healthcare. Just a constant source of reassurance and a ray of sunshine. Thank you, Dustin!
