My mother, my brothers, sister and I nominate Elizabeth for the DAISY Award. We feel that she is one of the best nurses we have had the pleasure to meet in our lives. She always explained everything to my mom and to us, she was friendly and attentive to all of our needs and answered all of our questions. Her presence extremely reduced my mother's anxiety. My mother had absolute confidence in her abilities and words, and so did the rest of us. She is a true professional that thought quickly on her feet to remedy or minimize any situation that arose. At times she was placed in a very difficult position when other departments in the hospital did not meet scheduled events in regards to my mother's health care. She handled those events professionally and truthfully, which we all appreciated a great deal.
