I would like to nominate Ellen for going above and beyond for me. I had gotten a total knee replacement later in the evening the pain block wore off, resulting in uncontrollable pain. Ellen explained my plan of care to me, she worked with me around the clock to help ease my pain. She checked on me every 30 minutes. Each time she entered my room she kindly asked me about my pain and checked to see what she could to help me, she updated me about when I could have my next dose of pain medication and gave me alternative ways to deal with the pain. Ellen was always on time every time my pain medication was due. She worked hard to help me maintain a comfortable pain level. Ellen has a calm approach she shows kindness and compassion which decreased my anxiety and pain. She was proactive which allowed me to do my exercises and be comfortable. Ellen cared about me during my stay on 2North and made my stay great. She is a blessing. Thank you.
