I have seen butterflies in nature. I believe I saw an angel. Emily continuously flies around my daughter’s bed, making all her stops, adjusting/removing/cleaning/replacing. All at the same time, hearing her sweet wings speaking and informing me what she was doing. Lightly lands on my daughter’s breathing tube and whispers sweet, beautiful words. According to this beautiful angel, my daughter and her are similar in terms of interests, personality, and attitude. (Maybe sisters). My daughter does matter! I began feeling. Her being mentally and physically challenged was not seen by the butterfly/angel. Now, all the butterflies I see are an Emily. I hope that when I need an angel, I have an Emily. You added beauty to this experience. Sioux City, ICU, St. Luke’s has an Angel Emily. An Angel Butterfly. Sweet Emily. We will see you in our yard.
