Emily is so helpful and knowledgeable about patient care and about the policies that affect that care. She is innovative and a real problem solver. I remember one time a patient in CCU was running out of dialysis exchange fluid and we had no more in the hospital. She got on the line to call the highest chain of command in materials management to get more fluid and it was a life or death situation. He not only obtained it, he personally delivered it due to her insistence. This is just one small example of what kind of nurse Emily is at MRMC. She helps run the kids camp every summer, she is on the Skin Care Committee for CCU and she chairs the PNAP Board. She does every job very well. Regarding her care of patients, she is kind, compassionate, informative and patients have loved her demeanor. She is a true asset to MRMC and deserves this DAISY Award!
