Emily Mance is a rare individual who definitely deserves recognition for her excellent bedside manner and her very apparent knowledge and well-applied skills in her profession. Looking at the DAISY Foundation website, the DAISY Award is intended to honor and recognize nurses who provide patients and their families with excellence in clinical care and compassion. This is what we saw in Emily while she worked hard to successfully help my dad get better.

Our family is going through a very difficult time with many different things happening, including my dad being in the hospital. In addition to taking excellent care of my dad, Emily was very supportive and proactive in the way she worked with all of us. She took the doctor’s notes and broke everything down for us in a very easy-to-understand way, even writing them out for us. She was great about picking up on our fears, anticipating questions, and always being prepared with the best answers. Emily made a real difference for my dad and our family, and I am grateful for the compassionate and professional care she gave my dad.
