Emily was there with us through the days of tears and fears and was there when things were good. She remembered names of the family (above and beyond the call of duty) and gave us everything we needed emotionally to get through the day and make it back again. She is energetic, sociable, and full of joy. When my husband was resistant to things such as getting cleaned up and PT, she would cut a deal with him which always resulted in her winning. When my husband wasn't assigned to her, she would stop by just to say hi. Our friends were concerned because he was in the ICU, but our comments were always, "no worries, he gets the best care in ICU".
