Emily is a natural leader. She has created tools and tip sheets that the educator has shared with new hires. Emily has never made excuses or left care undone in any role she has had here. Emily was a thorough, supportive nurse tech, a knowledgeable competent monitor tech, and is now a well-rounded, skilled cardiac nurse, relief charge nurse, and preceptor. Emily talks about and cares for patients like they are family. She enjoys the grouchy ones as much as the sweet ones and although she is an informal leader and an excellent charge, her true joy in nursing is caring for patients at the bedside. Emily is very detail-oriented and knows everything about her patients and has an amazing way of getting them to participate in care even when they are not feeling well.
