My mom has cancer in her liver, some in her lungs, bones and had a terrible reaction to some chemo pills. She was in severe pain with her GI system all day every day and wanted to give up the fight several times!! Erica's compassion for my mom, who became a widow two years ago, was much needed. She cared about the words she chose to say, used gentle touches, tones in her voice, and loving eyes for my mom. I am the only child in Raleigh that can care for my mom (even though my siblings came a lot) therefore my mom would be in the room alone and Erica would help ease her thoughts and pain. She tried to help my mom through some awful thoughts and rough times.

We experienced many great nurses however; Erica went well above the others. Words cannot express how comfortable I felt knowing that the days that Erica was working, that I didn't have to rush to the hospital and leave my 3 kids with friends. She was a comfort!
