Erica Lopez, float pool nurse, is our May DAISY Educator recipient. Erica is honored with the new DAISY preceptor award for her mentorship and support of novices and students who have Erica as a preceptor: “I met Erica on my first day of clinical rotation as a new graduate nurse; she was assigned to precept me. To say that Erica eased my way is an understatement. She helps nursing students and fellow colleagues not just in caring for patients but in advancing their nursing education, inspiring nurses to aspire to and be more.”
