Erin was actually not my nurse today. She was just walking by my room when she noticed that I was having a bad day. After being here for 2 weeks and still not being able to move as much as I would like, I was simply disappointed. I was tired of waiting for help to use the bathroom and most of all I felt like my life was turned upside down. Erin was kind enough to come in and help me to the restroom. She noticed tears in my eyes and asked if I was in pain. I told her that I was tired of being here and just wanted to go home. Instead of just leaving me in the restroom, she decided to stay and listen while I was in the bathroom. She didn't have to stand there and could have easily left me in the bathroom, but she didn't. She stayed and we talked and she helped me realized that sometimes being hard on myself just doesn't help the situation. Thanks to Erin helping me to the bathroom and taking 10 minutes to listen to a sad old lady complain about nothing.
