Even though the Radiology Oncology Department is located in the bowels of the hospital without any windows to let light in, all those who work in RO bring that light to their patients.
Faith Mavity was the first person I met when I found myself there recently. From the moment she introduced herself, I felt comfortable. As she patiently explained the procedure and showed me the routine I would be following for the next six and a half weeks, Faith radiated calm and compassion. My concerns about this strange new part of my life dissipated; I could do this!
Now I am a pro at the routine and especially look forward to Monday appointments when I get to spend one-on-one time with Faith. She has the gift of making me feel like I am her only patient and I am beyond grateful that Faith is part of my journey.
