Ferdinand “Bobby” Seely was nominated by a patient’s family member:

....When we first came to Henry Ford, my Father was a transfer patient from Garden City Hospital. He came here for his blood sugar, it was over 600. He had other problems and ended up in the ICU. There are all nurses were great but Bobby took the time to talk to my mother and explain what are all the numbers on monitor. Her English is not the best, but she understands. Bobby gave her a big hug and told her not to worry, that my dad will be ok. He would tell her to try to sleep a little but my mom could do is look at all those numbers on monitor...Bobby would tell her that the numbers are getting better, so she was relieved and able to fall asleep. The kind words, the hugs, the care Bobby has given to my family has been more than Bobby needed to do. We are so grateful and thankful to him and all other nurses! Everyone has been fantastic. Bobby treated my mom and dad like they were part of his family and we always remember that!!!
Thank you!!!
Thank you!!
Thank you!!

Bobby is great resource to our team. We are grateful to have a nurse that respects his co-workers, patient, and their families. Bobby is always ready to help with new admission, turn a patient, or cover for lunch breaks. He is always a great resource and full of knowledge. Many nurses should aspire to be like him. Bobby is a perfect role model.
