I wish to provide positive comments to a tremendous nurse I encountered at Mission Regional Medical Center during a recent hospitalization of my mother. Nurse Gabriela Martinez was assigned to my mother’s care for the last several days of her stay. Let me make it clear from the onset that I did not know or have ever met Nurse Gabby prior to this hospital experience. Nurse Gabby was awesome in the way she took her time to review, explain, and seek answers to our questions. She demonstrated tremendous passion to ensure the best quality medical treatment for the patient and support her patient’s family who may often have many questions and uncertainties. There was never a moment when Nurse Gabby did not make herself available to meet with us and respond to our inquiries. She also exhibited fantastic caring for the patient's and family members’ needs. Nurse Gabby showed great knowledge in the medical field because she was able to explain the treatment my mother was getting throughout her stay and, again took the time to explain it to us.

I can honestly say that Nurse Gabriela Martinez is the best hospital nurse I have ever experienced, and with a 93-year-old mother, I have experienced many hospital nurses. Nurse Gabby made a great positive difference in our Mission Regional Medical Center experience. Because of her, your hospital will remain a positive choice for my family’s medical needs. I would like to express to Nurse Gabby my gratitude for making my mother’s, my daughter’s, and my experience at Mission Regional Medical Center a positive experience.
