My brother came in with a brain injury and had a 50/50 chance of surviving. Gage Alexander was a beacon of light in a difficult time. He answered repetitive questions which were due to my brother's memory loop probably hundreds of times, never seeming annoyed, always being completely understanding and treated each question asked like it was the first, not hundredth. He listens attentively, and makes what you say seem important, even though he again is receiving the same information over and over. He explained things and communicated on a level you don't see often, making sure to not rush and be completely thorough. It's rare to find his level of patience and compassion.
