I gave birth to my first child who unexpectantly was born with a cleft lip and palate after having a rough pregnancy. This shook my universe! I was so scared. During my time in L&D, I had an amazing team of nurses and care providers. One RN specifically, was a true angel on earth. On the day of discharge, she gave me a beautiful poem that had the following in it:
A precious gift from Heaven
A treasure from above
A child who taught us many things
But most of all real love

This nurse was the best L&D nurse I’ve ever had! She help me deliver my daughter when the doctor didn’t quite make it in time. She talked me through the contractions. All the nurses and staff were great. I don’t know what I would have done without them.

The nurses and staff are very helpful and caring. They helped with everything. Always there when you needed anything.

This nurse is a great nurse and was wonderful during my labor and delivery. They were an amazing patient advocate. They were prompt in getting me assistance when needed. They were thorough in educating me on breastfeeding as well as any other concerns I had.

The Family Centered maternity staff had a critical baby on Christmas Eve. They engaged the entire hospital to make sure this baby had the care they needed until we could get a transport out. Lab and radiology, cardiopulmonary staff, pharmacy, staff from Med Surg, nursing supervisor, and ICU staff were coordinated by them to help with care. Every single member of the OB staff working those 2 days worked incredibly well together to keep this baby stable and safe. 2 of our nurses provided consistent care of this baby never leaving their side, monitoring his condition and advocating for him. The physician was amazing in caring for this baby and their level of expertise in guiding care for the infant.
