Geryl has been a leader on the 5th floor for a long time, first as a charge nurse, as supervisor, and now as a manager. In her role as a manager, Geryl truly embraces leadership which is exemplified by her dedication to her associates and the patients she serves. Geryl is invested in the professional development of her associates and encourages her associates to become certified. She also encourages her associates to be part of the Professional Portfolio so they can be engaged in patient outcomes and their own personal growth. Geryl is also invested in her own professional development and completes courses offered through AONL. Most recently, Geryl chairs the Fall Prevention Committee at ASMCA and has implemented various tactics such as point prevalence surveys, Fall prevention slogans, and t-shirts for champions.
