Gigi was recognized by a patient who had a second intestinal bleed. The patient said this about the care she received from her, "Gigi was a special person and wonderful nurse! She did what all nurses do-met patients' needs, but Gigi's care went beyond what I would have expected. She was always happy, explained everything very well, and even checked in with me when I did not call. She made me feel like she was pleased to take care of me and I was important. Her care and friendliness made me feel special and gave me confidence that I would recover and return to good health. She interacted well with my roommate and other staff members, she always treated them with the same respect and concern that I felt she gave me. I will always remember the good care I received; but more than that I will remember Gigi, an Extraordinary Nurse."
