Gillian is well-deserving of the DAISY Award. She is a leader among nurses in many ways. She is an excellent charge RN, assisting staff with questions, helping with any task and seeking out best practice.

Gillian is always asking, "Is this the best for the patient?" She critically thinks through tasks and issues, looking for the best solution that works for the patient. Gillian sees issues that not only affect her patient but the next patient too. She wants to resolve issues not as a single event but in a way that will allow consistency and provide excellent care to all patients every time.

Gillian is also a preceptor on 6SE. She provides a ton of support to our new grads as they learn the ropes. She is a mentor and is always teaching others what she has learned. Through Gillian's careful mentorship, new RNs learn to practice with exceptional skills and the correct habits.

I really appreciate the work ethic that Gillian demonstrates and she exemplifies the DAISY Award in every way!
