I was at my father’s bedside crying about his condition when Gina Mattura walked in and introduced herself in this bright cheerful voice. She made eye contact with me. Gina made me feel so at ease to ask questions about my dad’s health. She didn’t act inconvenienced or annoyed with me. She was knowledgeable and self-confident. It made me feel relieved to have Gina there that night because I was extra sad that day. I hope all nurses aspire to be like Gina. She is what makes the nursing profession a noble one.
