Dr. Gina Woody Dr. Gina Woody, DNP., R.N., extraordinary nursing faculty. She personifies excellence in nursing. She is one of those rare individuals who have blended professionalism, scholarship, and clinical expertise with kindness, compassion, humor and dedication. What a wonderful colleague and role model for our students. Her enthusiasm for nursing is contagious. Most importantly, she will settle for nothing less than excellence in all areas and asks nothing of others which she is unwilling to do herself. She has worked hard for Sigma Theta Tau including chapter president and coordinator of “Scout Out Nursing”, a program for boy and girl scouts to learn about nursing. In addition, she cares for patients with skill, and confidence thereby providing great comfort and reassurance to the sick. Dr. Woody is a rare gem and a treasure to the nursing profession. She embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award.
