Gipsel Alba, ADN, RN
C – Compassion: Gipsel explained what I couldn’t understand what doctors were preparing me to do. Me having an alcohol problem Gipsel took extra time to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. She made me believe I could beat this horrible disease. She kept me from feeling depressed and always smiling.
A – Accountable: Gipsel totally went above and beyond preparing for the steps that were next. Gipsel could make me laugh even though I was in major pain. She was a sort of medication for me.
R – Respect: My roommate was very hard on all of your nurses. I don’t know how but she didn’t let him ruin her shift. Gipsel got him to do things other nurses would just have given up on such as letting her check his breathing. The time I was there no other nurses could get him to do even that simple task.
E – Excellence: Always made sure I was eating and had ice water. Gipsel even microwaved my vegetables when the Nutrition Center forgot to give me butter. I got the butter an hour later. I wasn’t going to eat it because it was cold. Gipsel totally went above and beyond for my stay.
