Gisele truly embodies care and compassion. She is a deeply caring and committed to excellence. She is an RN who provides outstanding care to both the patient and their family. There have been numerous stories from both patients and staff of her kindness. She has often stopped in to my office to let me know that she has received a big hug from one of her patients in appreciation for the great care she gave them. She is one of the most patient nurses in the department, and she consistently exceeds in her level of nursing care. Her kind and reassuring nature assures that her patients and their families are comfortable and feel safe. Gisele is always compassionate and strives for the best, whether she is at the bedside caring for a patient or family member, mentoring her peers, or as a preceptor for a new nurse.

Gisele willingly works varied shift hours to keep the unit staffed without complaint or hesitation. Gisele also accomplishes the unit scheduling and payroll as well as being a committee member for numerous hospital committees. She helps maintain positive relationships, and is a reliable coworker, resource and leader. Gisele’s positive attitude and actions help the unit run smoothly, even on the days when we are overwhelmed with high patient acuity; she continues to take the time out to ensure that each patient and their family members feel welcomed, are comfortable, and remain informed in their treatments.

Gisele truly exemplifies the values of respect, compassion, justice, integrity, quality, innovation, stewardship, and growth everyday! She is such a pleasure to work with. She is by far one of the most caring and compassionate clinical nurses I’ve ever met!
