My wife delivered our last child in October via C-Section. Grace Maina made our entire experience from the moment we were checked-in, going through the delivery and most importantly the recovery process. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the entire Labor and Delivery Unit; however, Grace stood out among the other nurses in the unit.
It was obvious to me that Grace is an experienced nurse. Once we entered the room she introduced herself and explained the care of plan for my wife. She asked my wife if she had any exceptions or goals Grace needed to meet. Our main concern was my wife's pain. Grace respected our request and immediately took control of the pain with the proper medication dosage. My wife was experiencing crucial pain and the medication did not seem to be working. Grace immediately requested an anesthesiologist to evaluate the pain from the C-Section. Grace was not only attentive to my wife's needs but mine as well. She made sure I had a pillow, cover, and refreshments. I have never experienced this hospitality at other hospitals.
One of the moments that impressed me the most about Grace was when my wife requested a rocking chair to help my wife breastfeed our newborn son and be more comfortable for my wife with her C-Section. Grace looked for a rocking chair and brought it into my wife's room, that made my wife so happy and comfortable as well. This type of positive moments helped make this a fantastic experience in your Labor and Delivery Unit and Recovery for our family.
Grace is heaven sent and we are glad she was our nurse in Labor and Delivery!
