Grace Martin 2, BSN, RN

Grace Martin is an excellent nurse every day. She tries her best to take great care of patients and helps her co-workers, and patients always speak highly of her. Her knowledge and skills are well beyond her new-grad year. She even helps with other events on the unit. On this particular day, Grace quickly recognized a change in a patient with new-onset severe right-sided weakness. She recognized the change and called the doctor and got the patient down to CT scan quickly. This patient had a complete coronary occlusion and was flown to Kennestone Hospital. Thanks to her quick recognition, assessment skills, notification and escalation, and action, this patient got what they needed to have a good outcome. Way to Go! Keep up the awesome work.
