Throughout this laboring process Grace never left my side.
I arrived to labor and delivery for an induction at 38.5 weeks as my blood pressure was rising and I was starting to experience a headache. The staff all welcomed me warmly, helped me through a tough 48 hours of labor when I was coming closer to giving birth. On this day, I was blessed to have Grace as my nurse.

My baby was sitting quite high in my uterus and I had to frequently change positions to get him to descend down. In the midst of repositioning, my baby's heart rate suddenly began to drop. The pure fear I experienced of something happening to my son was written all over my face. Grace calmly called for additional assistance, remained at my side, assured me that we were going to be ok, and directed the staff on what was needed. She and the team were able to reposition me quickly allowing my baby quick rebound in getting his heart rate back up. Throughout this laboring process Grace never left my side. She answered my questions, she knew exactly how to respond in the event of an emergency and she gave my husband and I peace of mind knowing we was safe in her care. In my most difficult moments she and the fellow nurses were there for us as if we were their own family members.

I truly believe Grace was our guardian angel that day and I will forever be grateful to her. Because of Grace and the exceptional staff, I welcomed a healthy, perfect, amazing baby boy. I felt it was only right to recognize Grace and those working in Labor and Delivery. Thank you so much for everything you did for me and for everything you continue to do for your patients!
