Grady was very concerned, patient, and comforting in a place of chaos, confusion, and fright. I was brought into the ER for a 9-hour haul followed by a three-day stay to which I had mixed actions and emotions. Grady was my second nurse after shift change. In a busy environment, he made sure I was taken care of from vitals, meds, tests, comfort needs and maybe most importantly to me, he kept me informed with good communication. The man in the next bed was a prisoner in handcuffs complete with guards. Grady spoke to him, asked questions and comforted him like he did me. Grady talked to him explaining procedures in detail not to upset or scare him. Not only was the patient put at ease it made everything safer for everyone. I was impressed to see a medical professional keep the oath to treat all patients the same. That day I saw this first hand in Grady. Grady McNabb, thank you for the lesson and the service.
