I want to let you know about an amazing angel you have on your team. Queen’s name is Hannah in the ER unit. From the introduction, I knew this was going to be a good experience, well as best as it could be because I was sick and not feeling my best. She was so empathetic and went down the list to resolve and try to ease my pain. For starters, she was extremely thorough, and she took the time to read my chart to make sure the doctor had the information required. What I liked most was that she asked about my level of comfort the whole way. Bedside manner is one of the doors that opens up the trust of the patient and medical staff. I’ve had surgery before and will completely cut off a team if I feel like I am an inconvenience or I am not being heard. No one knows your body like you do. I would have assumed Hannah was a nurse for years. Hearing her interaction with the staff and other patients, you can tell she was built for this. “She is not new to this, she is true to this.” Give her flowers and recognition while she can still smell them and collect the praise.
