Hayley was my Grandma's nurse. When I got to the hospital, I met Hayley. From the very beginning, she was so loving and sweet to my Grandma and was always answering my questions! Around 9:30 they wanted to take her for an x-ray. Shortly after, Hayley came in to let me know after the x-ray she would be having another procedure and that I should head down to the surgery waiting room. When we were sent back to the 8th floor, Hayley was there and could tell how upset/scared I was. That was when she asked if she could hug me and I of course agreed!

I went down to meet my dad and family to update them. Grandma was supposed to have emergency surgery at 4:00. I was on the way up to the 8th floor and as soon as I got off the elevator, Hayley was there saying she was coming to find me right away. Hayley was there for our family prayer. She talked to my Grandma, telling her that she knew how special she was! She gave me another hug and asked us to keep her updated.

After Grandma's surgery, my dad and I wanted to go back up and update her. Once she saw us, she said she had just called to follow up on how she was doing. Fast forward a few days later---Grandma was back on the 8th floor and when I came in to visit, Hayley was the first person I saw and her face lit up as she came right over and hugged me and said she would be in to see Grandma! Later that day I was in with Grandma and she told me that her "angel" had been by to see her. Hayley has gone above and beyond for my Grandma and our entire family. She has such a sweet and loving personality. Without any doubt, in my mind, Hayley deserves this Award!
