Heather Jolley has been a committed leader at this ministry. Heather's work ethic and commitment to our mission and values are consistent and visible. Heather, despite the circumstance, does not complain. She seeks to understand the why and can meet people where they are, never passing judgment, a critical skill set as a leader. As we approached the 2018 calendar year a nursing leadership organizational assessment was in order to ensure our patients, and teams were being fully supported leveraging the right resources in the right place. Heather willingly accepted a new and challenging role that would broaden her scope and knowledge base. She assumed Directorship of the Dialysis and Respiratory departments in addition to oversight of the Family Birthplace. All three of these departments are specialty areas requiring resilient, forward-thinking leadership. Heather has demonstrated her ability to improve processes through standardization of care, collaborative decision making with her teams, and optimizing work environments. Her strengths also include fiscal management and operations.
Essentially a novice to these newly assigned areas she was effective in leading them through a very successful joint commission survey which historically resulted in findings. Her proactive approach to reducing department gaps and defects relative to staffing levels, educational needs, customer and employee relations demonstrates our values of excellence, community, and stewardship. Feedback from the respiratory department has come referring to Heather as "a good listener" "making improvements for us" "refreshing to have her here ". Our Administrative supervisors and her Peer Director group refer to her as collaborative and always willing to partner. While the balance of these responsibilities is clearly not easy, Heather is managing well. At one point she was overseeing these areas without Team Leader support.
We value Heather as a leader in this organization. She has demonstrated tremendous growth this year and has certainly met the challenge placed before her. Heather, we thank you for your tireless service and your calling as a servant leader is commendable.
